SAPD shares new photos, video of man wanted in connection to June double-murder outside San Antonio bar

SAPD has released the identity of a suspect believed to have fatally shot two people outside the Luna Bar and Lounge.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department has shared photos of a man suspected in the fatal shooting of two men outside of a north-side bar earlier this summer.

At around 5:30 a.m. on June 8, SAPD responded to the Luna Bar and Lounge off San Pedro Avenue near Oblate for reports of a shooting. There, officers found two men with several gunshot wounds outside of the bar.

One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital before succumbing to his injuries.

An investigation identified the suspect as 28-year-old Samuel Adrian Barron, who detectives say might have ties to Mexico. Authorities believe that is where he fled to in the morning hours after the double-murder.

SAPD released the following video of Barron in hopes of someone being able to help investigators locate him:

Barron is facing a charge of capital murder of multiple persons.

Anyone with information regarding Barron and his possible whereabouts is urged to contact the SAPD Homicide Office at (210)207-7635.
