SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said a man was cut with a “decorative sword” while trying to break up an argument between another man and a store clerk on the city’s north side.
Police said officers arrived to the Circle K located off of U.S. Highway 281 for a reported cutting in progress Monday night.
According to police, an argument broke out when a man with no shirt went into the store and the clerk told him to put a shirt on. That’s when investigators say a customer walked into the store and got involved in the argument.
The customer and the suspect began to fight and at some point, police said the suspect pulled out a “decorative knife” and cut the man before leaving the store.
Police said officers caught up to the man shortly after.
The customer who was cut suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The man who stabbed him faces charges for aggravated assault.
Police said the suspect was transported to a local hospital because he was suspected by officers of being under the influence of drugs.
