SAPD: Suspect pulls gun on employee during beer theft

SAPD are searching for a suspect who pointed a gun during a beer theft at a south side business.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are searching for a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery on the city’s south side Saturday night.

According to SAPD, officers were called to the 10100 block of Roosevelt Avenue around 5:46 p.m. for a robbery in progress.

Police say a man entered a business at the location and stole a case of beer. An employee tried to intervene and approached the black Dodge SUV the suspect was getting into. As the suspect got into the vehicle, he pointed a handgun at the employee, investigators said.

The suspect fled before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.

Police have not made any arrests, and the suspect has not been identified. 

SAPD says the investigation remains active, and information may change as more details become available.
