SAPD: Suspect wanted after attempted sexual assault along Leon Creek Greenway Park near UTSA

According to SAPD, the suspect is a man in his 20s, he’s approximately 5-foot-5 inches tall, medium build, with a beard and short black hair.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department is searching for a man wanted for an attempted sexual assault that occurred along a trail near UTSA this past Monday.

Police were called to the Leon Creek Greenway Park in the 13000 block of Bent Ridge Drive near Jewell Lake around 2 p.m.

Officers said a victim reported that a man had approached her from behind while she was walking on the trail. As the man began to assault the female, the victim’s phone captured a snapshot of the suspect. After the struggle, the suspect took off and has not been located. 

According to SAPD, the suspect is a man in his 20s, he’s approximately 5-foot-5 inches tall, medium build, with a beard and short black hair.

Detectives from the Special Victim’s unit are leading the investigation.
