SAN ANTONIO — A young woman suspected of driving while intoxicated crashed her vehicle into a barrier, injuring her passengers early Saturday morning, police say.
It happened around 2:52 a.m. in the 4900 block of NW Loop 410 not far from Evers Road.
According to police, the 24-year-old female driver of a 2018 Chrysler 300 was traveling on Loop 410 when she came upon a stalled vehicle on Loop 410. Police say she may have over-corrected to avoid crashing into the stalled car, causing her to hit the barrier.
Her two passengers, a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, were both seriously injured. They were taken to the hospital.
The driver of the Chrysler was found to be intoxicated, police say, and arrested on two charges of intoxication assault.
Police say both of her passengers were in stable condition at last check.
This is a developing story.
