A man and a woman were eating at the restaurant when they came outside to see their vehicle being broken into, according to police.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is now dead after a suspect trying to break into his vehicle ended up shooting him in the chest when confronted, according to police.
At about 1:23 a.m. Saturday morning, a man and a woman were eating at a Twin Peaks restaurant located at IH-10 West and DeZavala Road.
When they went outside to the parking lot, they found an unknown number of people attempting to break into their vehicle. They then confronted the suspects, and a fight broke out between the man and the alleged burglars.
That’s when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and started shooting. Police say the woman was grazed by the gunfire, while the man was hit in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the suspects fled in a dark in color sedan. They didn’t give any information about what these suspects look like.
No other injuries have been reported.
