SAPD: Sword drawn during street fight north of downtown; one arrested

An argument escalated into a fight and spilled into the street. Police say a few men pulled out knives and one brought out a sword.

SAN ANTONIO — An argument turned into a street fight early Saturday morning where police say someone even brought out a sword.

Around 12:39 a.m., a group of men were hanging out around the intersection of San Pedro Avenue and West Rosewood Road in San Antonio when an argument started.

That argument escalated into a fight and spilled into the street. Police say a few men pulled out knives and one brought out a sword.

One man was injured in the fight with minor injuries. Another was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. It’s unclear which of the men was arrested.
