An 18-year-old faces charges after allegedly pulling a knife during a watch sale and stealing two watches.

SAN ANTONIO — An 18-year-old is facing charges of aggravated assault after police say he allegedly pulled a knife on another teen during a meetup to sell a pair of watches on the southwest side of town Saturday.

Police were called out to the 7700 block of South Zarzamora Street just before 2  p.m. for reports of a robbery in progress.

According to officers, a 17-year-old boy said he had a meeting with an 18-year-old to show him two watches he had for sale.

The victim told police the other teen pulled a knife out and told him he was stealing the watches, then drove off with the stolen property.

Police were able to locate the 18-year-old suspect’s home and waited for him to arrive. He was taken into custody without incident when he arrived. The two stolen watches were recovered in a search of his vehicle, along with a stolen handgun.

This is a developing story.
