SAPD: Teen shot in abdomen on San Antonio’s northwest side, police looking for suspect

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A teen was shot after gunfire erupted on the northwest-side Monday night, according to San Antonio police. 

Authorities were called to the 3800 block of Parkdale Drive for a shooting in progress around 8 p.m., near the Henley Park apartments. Reports state five gunshots rang out.

Police said a teenage boy was shot in the abdomen. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition and a sergeant on scene said the teen was “walking and talking” after the incident. 

SAPD did not say what lead up to the shooting and did not provide a description of the suspect other than being male. 

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
