SAPD: Teen shows up at south-side home asking for help after getting grazed by bullet, police looking for suspect

Police say the incident could have been an accident.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are looking for the suspect responsible for a south-side shooting early Saturday morning.

Police say a 16-year-old girl showed up at a home off the 5800 block of Analissa around 2 a.m. asking for help.

According to SAPD, the girl’s foot was grazed by a bullet.

Police say the teen was walking with a group of people and one of them had a firearm in their possession. The gun somehow accidentally discharged and struck the victim.

Authorities believe the shooting may have happened at a nearby apartment complex but are still trying to confirm the location.

The teen sustained a non-life threatening injury and was not taken to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Police did not provide any information about the suspect other than they fled in a vehicle after the shots were fired.

SAPD says this is an ongoing investigation.
