SAN ANTONIO — A man is now in custody after an argument with his girlfriend led to a standoff with police on the northwest side of town late Sunday night.
This happened at the Avistar at the Boulevard apartments on USAA Boulevard just before midnight.
Police say the man’s girlfriend lived there and he showed up and eventually began fighting with her. The girlfriend left the apartment leaving their baby behind and came back with a male friend.
When they came back, police say the boyfriend pointed a gun at both of them before holding up in the unit.
Police set up around the apartment until the man turned himself in.
No one was hurt, and police say the man surrendered after they talked him out of the apartment. After negotiations, the man came out with his 2-year-old daughter in his arms.
The stand-off lasted around two hours, and ended right after 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Charges for the man have not been announced.
This is a developing story.
