SAPD: Truck crashes into abandoned vehicle on the northwest side, ends up getting hit by another vehicle

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with lacerations to the head, according to police.

SAN ANTONIO — Several people have been taken to the hospital after a crash on the northwest side, according to police.

At around 3:11 a.m. Friday, police say a pickup truck ran into an abandoned vehicle on the side of the highway located around the 8200 block of West Loop 1604 southbound.

The driver of the truck got out, and that’s when police say another sedan ran into their truck. The sedan had a driver and two passengers.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with lacerations to the head, according to police. One of the drivers said they had head pain. There is no word on their condition. The passengers of the second vehicle were also taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Police say there were no signs of intoxication.
