SAPD: Woman arrested for throwing boiling hot water on children

Both kids sustained burns to their bodies.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman was arrested after allegedly throwing boiling hot water on two children early Tuesday morning, according to the San Antonio Police Department. 

Police were called to the 3800 block of Maverick Creek Road for reports of an injured child around 1:15 a.m. 

According to an incident report, upon arrival officers found two kids with burn wounds all over their bodies. Police believe the suspect, 33-year-old Stacy Gilbert, got upset with the children, went to their room and threw boiling hot water at them. It is currently unknown what led to the incident. 

Both kids were taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

 Police said Gilbert was arrested and booked in the Bexar County jail. She was charged with injury to a child. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
