SAPD: Woman dead after shooting in northwest-side apartment; witnesses ‘refusing to cooperate’

It is currently unknown what led up to the shooting, but police say this case will be investigated as a murder.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is dead after police say she was shot in the torso area by an unknown suspect.

Around 7:48 a.m. Saturday morning, police were called to an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Huebner for a shooting.

Once there, they found a 37-year-old woman inside an apartment with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Police say other people were inside the apartment when the shooting happened and were detained for questioning. Those people are allegedly “refusing to cooperate with the investigation,” however.

It is currently unknown what led up to the shooting, but police say this case will be investigated as a murder.

As of 2:15 p.m. Saturday, the potential witnesses/suspects are being interviewed.
