Witnesses told officers the woman was walking in the road and not within a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman was taken to a hospital after she was hit by a driver in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night on the south side of town, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were called to the 3700 block of Roosevelt Avenue around 7:13 p.m. for a major accident involving a pedestrian and a gray Dodge Charger. Police said the 37-year-old woman was walking southbound on Roosevelt Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle.
Investigators said the driver initially fled the scene without stopping to render aid. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the driver of the Dodge Charger later returned to the scene and cooperated with investigators. No arrests have been made at this time.
