San Antonio police are investigating after a woman is shot during a struggle over a gun with her boyfriend.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says a woman has been hospitalized after being shot while her boyfriend attempted to take a gun away from her.
Around 9:30 a.m., SAPD responded to the 3900 block of Heritage Hill Drive after receiving reports of a shooting.
Preliminary information suggests the woman was contemplating suicide and her boyfriend tried to stop her from shooting herself outside the north-side home.
During the tussle the gun went off, striking the woman.
Police said the man rushed the woman to the hospital, but left after dropping her off.
The boyfriend isn’t facing any charges at this time, but has not spoken with any authorities.
This is an ongoing investigation.
