SAPD: Woman shot, juvenile stabbed after incident at west-side Dollar Tree

No suspects have been identified as police continue to investigate.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio authorities are investigating after a woman was found shot multiple times Monday evening in a Dollar Tree near West Commerce and South General McMullen.

A suspect has yet to be identified, nor do police know what happened leading up to the gunfire. But San Antonio Police Sgt. Ethan Humble said a second victim being treated for a “stab wound to the head” at the downtown children’s hospital is believed to have been involved.

Authorities said that victim was a juvenile. The woman was identified as being in her mid-20s, and is in life-threatening condition.

“We have detectives that are going through the (surveillance) video now,” Humble said outside the Dollar Tree along the 4800 block of West Commerce Street, where police arrived around 6:20 p.m. “Until we actually look at the video, we don’t know how many people were involved in the actual shooting and stabbing.”

It’s unknown if any weapons were recovered at the scene, and police have yet to identify potential suspects.
