SAPD: Woman struck in the face by gunfire in north-side drive-by shooting; suspect currently unknown

Police say someone possibly in an SUV drove by and shot four to five rounds at the home while the woman was inside.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman sitting in her home was hit in the face by gunfire after a drive-by shooting on the north side, police say.

SAPD was called to the 900 block of West Russell Place around 12:19 p.m. Thursday. Once there, they found a 29-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the face. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say someone possibly in an SUV drove by and shot four to five rounds at the home while the woman and a man was inside. They do not have any information on a potential suspect at this time.

The victim says she doesn’t know who would do this and thinks this was random.
