SAPD: Woman’s body found floating in Woodlawn Lake, had been there ‘a day or two’

Police say the body appears to be of a 61-year-old Hispanic woman. She has not been identified.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say a woman’s body was found Tuesday morning in Woodlawn Lake.

At about 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, a jogger was running the trails and found what they thought to be a body floating in the water of Woodlawn Lake.

Police pulled out the object from the lake and, according to them, it appeared to be a body that had been there a day or two.

Police initially said the body was of a Hispanic woman in her 30s.

Now the Medical Examiner’s Office says she was 61 years old. She has still not been identified.

Officials are treating the incident as a drowning.
