SAPD: Young girl falls in pool on northeast side, taken to hospital in unknown condition

Police say the girl, under 5 years old, fell in the pool on accident. No criminal elements are expected in the case.

SAN ANTONIO — A girl under the age of five is in the hospital after police say she fell in a pool on the northeast side.

According to San Antonio police, they were called to the 17000 of Vista Bluff just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday for a drowning.

Upon arrival, the girl was found in a backyard pool unresponsive. EMS attempted lifesaving measures at the scene and the child was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Police say the girl fell in the pool on accident. No criminal elements are expected in the case.

The girl’s status is unknown as of Thursday evening.
