SAPD: Young man cut in the face outside Raising Cane’s on southeast side, suspect on the run

It is unclear if the suspect got away with anything.

SAN ANTONIO — A late-night stop for chicken turned into a police response Tuesday night after a young man was cut in the face during an aggravated robbery outside a southeast-side Raising Cane’s.

Police were called to the restaurant located on the 2300 block of SE Military Drive around 10:15 p.m.

Authorities said the young man was sitting on the restaurant’s patio when a man approached him. The suspect ordered the victim to give up his belongings and slashed the victim in the face before taking off. The suspect apparently ran away on foot and it is unclear if the robber got away with anything.

The young man was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, according to a sergeant at the scene.

No arrests have been made, and investigators are still working to track down the suspect.
