SAN ANTONIO — Crews continue to repair damage caused by a third party contractor that hit a water main on the west side of San Antonio.
It happened on Friday afternoon near Highway 90 and Hunt Lane. A non-SAWS contractor doing directional drilling for a fiber optic company hit a 24-inch water main that supplies water to the southwest area of San Antonio.
The eastbound U.S. Hwy. 90 access road is closed while crews work to repair the damage caused. In addition, eastbound Hwy 90 exits to Hunt Lane and southbound 410 are also closed during repairs.
SAWS says they will work to recover the costs of lost water and emergency repairs from the contractor once they complete the repairs
