BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — IMPACT DAYS: Thursday, Aug. 21
Reason: Heavy rain, localized flooding and gusty winds possible in areas of the San Antonio region.
The breakdown
There is a possibility of heavy rains and gusty winds in certain parts of Bexar County and the western Hill Country on Thursday, so the KENS 5 Weather Team has called for a Weather Impact Alert Day for August 21.
There is also a marginal risk for excessive rain that may cause localized flooding. Friday there is a 40% chance of rain, but we will monitor to see if the showers will be heavy or excessive.

Monday night: Low of 77 degrees. Mostly clear conditions and calm winds.
Tuesday: Low 78, high 98. A 40% chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m. in the South Texas region. Mostly sunny and hot, with the “feels-like” temperature potentially reached 103.
Wednesday: Low 77, high 98. Another hot and sunny day in the San Antonio area, with heat index values potentially reaching 105. Calm winds at 5 mph, 30% chance of rain.
Thursday: Low 78, high 95. A 50% chance of rain on this day, including potential showers before 10 a.m. and possible storms in the afternoon. Mostly sunny conditions.
Friday: Low 77, high 94. The mercury dips ever so slightly to end the week, to go along with a 60% chance of rain. Showers likely after 1 p.m. A 40% chance of precipitation.
Saturday: Low 76, high 94. Mostly sunny conditions, but also a 30% chance of showers and storms in the afternoon.
