Schertz PD: Motorcyclist killed in crash along IH-35

Authorities said the driver of the motorcycle died from his injuries at the scene.

SCHERTZ, Texas — The Schertz Police Department said an investigation is underway after a motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.

Police said officers responded to the crash on the 17500 block of IH-35 northbound access road at around 6:41 p.m. for a collision involving a motorcycle, SUV and a semi-tractor with a trailer. 

Upon arrival, police said they found the motorcyclist laying on the ground and a good Samaritan was providing CPR.

Schertz PD said the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim will be identified after next of kin have been notified, according to police.

Authorities said investigators will conduct a complete and thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
