SEA LIFE San Antonio searching for city’s first-ever Mini Marine Biologist

Kids can enter to become SEA LIFE San Antonio’s first Mini Marine Biologist — and win a private behind-the-scenes tour plus annual passes.🌊🐠

SAN ANTONIO — Calling all future ocean explorers — this one’s for you.

SEA LIFE San Antonio is on the hunt for the city’s very first Mini Marine Biologist, and young sea-life fans are invited to make a splash.

The aquarium’s first-ever contest is open now through March 8. To enter, kids must submit a 100-word essay explaining why they love the oceans, plus a creative drawing of an imaginary sea creature. (Yes, glittery jellyfish-dragons absolutely welcome.)

The goal? Inspire the next generation to care about ocean conservation and the incredible creatures living beneath the waves.

The 2026 Mini Marine Biologist winner, along with their family, will receive a private, behind-the-scenes tour with a SEA LIFE aquarist. They’ll also score Annual Passes to visit their favorite underwater friends all year long.

That means more sharks. More stingrays. More sea turtles. More “wow, did you see that?”

SEA LIFE leaders say they hope the contest helps grow kids’ love for marine life while spreading awareness about protecting oceans and aquatic habitats.

So if you’ve got a little one who dreams of discovering new species, protecting coral reefs or inventing the next legendary sea creature — now’s their time to dive in.

Because every great marine biologist starts somewhere.
