Search continues for missing 19-year-old woman last seen on Christmas Eve

The search intensifies for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, missing since Christmas Eve, with the FBI now involved, raising community concern in Bexar County.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — The search is continuing for a missing 19-year-old woman six days after her family says she disappeared on Christmas Eve.

Camila Mendoza Olmos was last seen the morning of Dec. 24 outside of her home in northwest Bexar County. A neighbor’s surveillance video showed her standing next to her car outside her home on Caspian Spring. The footage does not show what happened afterward. Camila was gone, but her car remained at the location.

Friends, family and community members have come together to search for her for the last several days. Volunteers say they are focused on an approximately 8-square-mile radius around Camila’s home. Searchers are navigating challenging terrain and potentially dangerous conditions, including wildlife.

Monday, KENS 5 learned the FBI was involved in the investigation into her disappearance.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar is expected to give remarks Monday afternoon about ongoing search efforts.
