Terrell Hills Police are searching for 64-year-old Julie Straus, the wife of former Texas House Speaker Joe Straus.
SAN ANTONIO — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Terrell Hills woman last seen Thursday afternoon.
Terrell Hills Police are searching for 64-year-old Julie Straus, who was last seen at around 6:40 p.m. on the 200 block of Geneseo Road.
On Friday morning, Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows confirmed on Twitter/X that Julie is the wife of former Texas House Speaker Joe Straus. Joe Straus was the house speaker from 2009-2019.
“Let’s join together as Texans and keep Julie and the Straus family in our prayers,” Burrows said.
Julie was last seen wearing a black sweater, black leggings and black and white tennis shoes. She is approximately 6’4″ and weighs about 140 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes, according to police.
