SAN ANTONIO — SeaWorld San Antonio has sadly announced the death of orca whale Kamea.
Kamea spent years bringing joy and inspiration to millions of people who attended the park and her shows. Her playful spirit and unique personality is said to have touched the hearts of all who knew her.
SeaWorld said despite the around the clock treatment and tireless efforts from their animal care and veterinary teams, Kamea succumbed to her illness surrounded by those who loved and cared for her deeply.
“This is an incredibly difficult time for our SeaWorld family, especially those who worked closely with her. We are grateful for the support of our community as we remember and honor Kamea together,” SeaWorld said.
