AUSTIN, Texas — For the second time in less than a week, a body has been found at the University of Texas at Austin campus.
According to UT Media Relations vice president Mike Rosen, the body was discovered “overnight,” but the person’s identity has not been made public.
The cause of death remains unknown, but Rosen said there was no foul play suspected. It’s also unclear exactly where on campus the body was discovered.
On Saturday, another person died on campus in a separate incident at the Perry-Castañeda Library.
UT Austin police responded to a medical emergency at the library just after 5 p.m., and the deceased person reportedly suffered from “noticeable trauma.”
Both deaths are currently under investigation, and there is no risk to the university at this time.
