According to Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, a second lawsuit names Ramón Ayala Jr. in sexual assault allegations involving a touring band member.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — According to Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, a second civil lawsuit alleging sexual assault has been filed against members of the norteño band Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte in Hidalgo County.
Buzbee said the lawsuit was filed this week on behalf of a plaintiff identified as John Doe #2. The plaintiff is described as a longtime professional vocalist and guitarist who worked with the band’s touring operation.
According to Buzbee, the allegations center around Ramón Ayala Jr. and that the lawsuit alleges the plaintiff was subjected to repeated workplace sexual harassment and multiple sexual assaults while on tour.
He said the case was filed in Hidalgo County state court and seeks a trial by jury.
The second lawsuit comes days after a separate civil lawsuit was filed by Buzbee on behalf of another plaintiff, identified as John Doe #1, alleging repeated sexual assaults involving a traveling staff member.
That lawsuit also names Ayala, Ayala Jr., and the band’s corporate entity, Liram, LLC d/b/a Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte, as defendants.
Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte are currently touring as part of their “Historia de un Final Tour 2026,” which is scheduled to make stops in cities across the United States this year.
3NEWS has reached out to Ramón Ayala and his representatives for comment but has not yet received a response.
However, in a recent Facebook post, Ayala shared a written statement addressed to the public, media and fans, saying that due to legal reasons he cannot give interviews at this time and that his legal team is working to clarify the facts.
