SAN ANTONIO — Cirque Italia is bringing its latest show, “Water Circus,” to San Antonio in January and February.
Water Circus runs Jan. 23 through Feb. 2, 2026, with multiple showtimes each weekend at Traders Village San Antonio. Friday and Monday shows start at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays feature 1:30, 4:30, and 7:30 p.m. performances, and Sundays have 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. shows. Tickets are available now.
The new production follows Rafael, a country boy swept away by a tornado into the heart of the bustling city. The story blends comedy, acrobatics, and visual spectacle, taking audiences from farm life to urban streets under the White and Blue Big Top Tent.
Rafael, played by the show’s clown, navigates the city’s personalities, encountering characters inspired by street culture, high society, athletes, and everyday city dwellers. Each act highlights a different aspect of urban life, brought to life by Cirque Italia’s international cast of performers.
New acts this season include a graffiti-covered Trampoline Wall celebrating street art, a Straps act showcasing athletic and intellectual skill, and a Fire act shedding light on the struggles of the homeless. Classic favorites like Rolls Bolla, Quick Change, Hand-to-Hand acrobatics, and high-speed Skates also return. Comedy is woven throughout, with the show’s head-of-security clown keeping laughs coming while ensuring a safe experience for all ages.
The performance concludes with a Swing act honoring senior citizens and ending in a lively country-style line dance, reinforcing the show’s themes of diversity, unity, and inclusivity.
Cirque Italia owner Manuel Rebecchi says he’s proud to share his circus heritage through a modern, animal-free production that blends fun with meaningful storytelling.
