
The child’s parents told police that a former employee at Leap Ahead Learning had told them that a current employee had slapped their child in January.
SEGUIN, Texas — A daycare employee in Seguin has been accused of “slapping” a 5-year-old child by a former employee.
On May 2, Seguin PD were contacted by the child’s parents, who told them that a former employee at Leap Ahead Learning had told them that a current employee had allegedly slapped their child in January 2025.
Not many other details have been released, but detectives have since conducted two forensic interviews with the child as well as multiple interviews with employees.
The Texas Department of Health and Human Services have also launched their own investigation.
The investigation remains active. The employee has not been charged as of Tuesday afternoon.
KENS 5 has reached out to Leap Ahead Learning and have yet to receive a response.
