HOUSTON — More than five people were arrested in a raid on what police called an after-hours club in southwest Houston early Sunday morning.
The Houston Police Department said this happened around 3 a.m. at the La Sierra club on South Post Oak Road north of Highway 90.
Police said the charges range from drug possession to serving alcoholic beverages after hours. Some were arrested on open warrants.
“Mayor Whitmire and Chief Diaz have been very focused in addressing crime in the community,” said Assistant Chief Yasar Bashir. “My message to the community is: continue to be vigilant. We had numerous complaints so continue to provide us information and we will continue to commit in addressing these after-hours clubs in the city.”
