Severe weather flipped campers and mobile homes in Gunter, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

GUNTER, Texas — Several campers and mobile homes were flipped over in Gunter Thursday evening in what the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is calling a “severe weather incident.”

According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, deputies and first responders are currently on the scene in the 1000 block of Fox Lane. GCSO said severe weather has caused significant damage to the area.

“We are asking all residents to stay clear of the area and allow emergency personnel to assist those in need and secure the scene,” GCSO said in the post.

Just before 8:30 p.m., the Grayson County Office of Emergency Management announced that the county was under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 9 p.m.

It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone sustained any injuries. However, the county’s office of emergency management did note that the RV park was still an active rescue scene.

Timelapse video from a Grayson County resident showed the storm as it rolled into the area:

WFAA has a crew heading to the scene to learn more.
