
San Antonio police are investigating a shooting that injured a 19-year-old man late Friday night on the city’s east side.
SAN ANTONIO — A 19-year-old man is recovering after being shot late Friday night in an incident that police say escalated from a crash and ended in a business parking lot on the city’s east side.
San Antonio police responded around 11 p.m. after the victim arrived at a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers say he was treated and later listed in stable condition.
SAPD investigators traced the crime scene to the 3700 block of East Commerce Street, where shell casings were found outside a business. According to a witness, the shooting stemmed from a crash that happened at an unknown location. The situation continued to escalate when those involved confronted each other in the parking lot, ultimately leading to gunfire.
No arrests have been made and police say the investigation is ongoing, with details subject to change as more information develops.
