Silver and Black fans react to leaked alleged 2024-25 Spurs City Ed. jerseys

If the leaked new Spurs City Edition jerseys are true, then Spurs fans are not thrilled.

SAN ANTONIO — With the start of the San Antonio Spurs 2024-25 season fast approaching, so does the start of the NBA’s 2024-25 NBA Cup Tournament and the release of the Spurs new City Edition jerseys.

In vibrant earth tones, last season’s alternate jerseys paid homage to the 1968 San Antonio World’s Fair and matched the 2023-24 NBA Cup Spurs court.

But fans might want to lower their expectations if they expected a new-look jersey.

Photos of the NBA’s upcoming City Edition jerseys for all teams were leaked, and it appears San Antonio’s jerseys have not undergone any significant changes.

According to leaked photos, the 2024-25 City Ed. jersey will look almost the same as last season’s, with just some changes in the lettering font and more color around the collar.

Needless to say, Spurs fans did not like the alleged jerseys and sounded off on Nike (that makes the jerseys) on social media.

This leak is coming off the leak of the new-look Spurs NBA Cup Court for the season.

NBA 2K25 might have revealed the new-look Spurs NBA Cup court, and if it is valid, it is a significant upgrade from last season’s court.

The court features a return to the team’s primary colors (black, white, and gray), with the gold NBA Cup trophy adorning it at the center court and in the lanes.

The team’s primary logo, complete with a serape pattern at the scorer’s box, replaces the Tower of the Americas. The Spurs’ alternate logo depicts Texas with a spur across the court.

Keep in mind that NBA 2K25 mirrors the NBA.

This proved true as the video game leaked that Keldon Johnson switched to No. 0 and Chris Paul kept his No. 3 jersey before the Spurs officially acknowledged it.

Please note that neither the Spurs nor the NBA have officially announced San Antonio’s new City Edition jerseys.
