SAN ANTONIO — Forget awkward dinner dates and sad rom-com marathons. The San Antonio Zoo is inviting single adults to try something a little wilder this Valentine’s season.
It’s called Meet Your Next Ex, an adults-only, after-hours event happening Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, from 7 to 10 p.m., and yes, it’s exactly as chaotic-fun as it sounds.
The zoo will transform into a jungle-themed singles playground, complete with music, games, live entertainment, dancing and plenty of chances to flirt… or at least people-watch with a drink in hand.
Whether you’re showing up with friends, flying solo or just curious to see what dating looks like in 2026, organizers say the night is all about connections, romantic or otherwise, and unforgettable memories.
Guests can wander through different parts of the zoo to catch a variety show featuring an acoustic musician, magician and burlesque performances, join icebreaker games and conversation starters on the Fiesta Rooftop Terrace, dance to a live DJ at H-E-B Plaza or belt out karaoke in NEOTROPICA with new friends.
“Meet Your Next Ex is all about creating a fun space for single adults to connect and enjoy the zoo in a completely different way,” said Tim Morrow, president and CEO of the San Antonio Zoo. “Whether guests come with friends or arrive solo, this event offers a unique Valentine’s experience that blends entertainment, community and a sense of adventure.”
From bold personalities ready to hit the dance floor to low-key conversationalists who prefer chatting under the stars, the zoo says there’s something for every kind of single.
