Six Flags unveils ‘most fear-inducing’ Fright Fest yet

Fright Fest will be going on from Sept. 6 until Nov. 2.

SAN ANTONIO — Be prepared to be scared at Six Flags this fall!

Six Flags announced their “most fear-inducing” Fright Fest on select nights, starting Sept. 6 until Nov. 2.

Visitors will get the opportunity to enter realms inspired by iconic horror films with four new haunted mazes, features, live shows and scare zones.

The new haunted mazes include:

  • SAW: Legacy of Terror, which pay homage to the franchise’s legacy and John Kramer’s diabolical contraptions and puzzles.
  • Cinema Slasher presented by M&M’S, where classic horror film genres are the focal point and slasher icons and scream-worthy tropes come to life. This maze is inspired by the popular maze at our sister park event Knott’s Scary Farm.
  • Hexenhaus, which takes place at a witch’s cottage hidden deep in the woods where cursed relics and ancient spells awaken something sinister.
  • Nosferatu, where guests can enter the silent-film nightmare where the original vampire awaits you.

There’s also a new feature called “Interactive Lanterns” where guests can find hidden scares and surprises throughout the park using light-up lanterns.

But if visitors are needing something a little lighter for the family, they can take part in the new daytime family-friendly event, Tricks and Treats. Kids will get the chance to do fall crafts, enjoy seasonal drinks and candy, and experience family rides. Tricks and Treats will be open to visitors until 5 p.m. on select days from Sept. 6 until Nov. 2.

The Oktoberfest Food Festival is also set to return from Sept. 6 until Oct. 26, with authentic German food, craft beer, live music and Bavarian traditions. Fan favorite foods like bratwurst and German chocolate cake will be available for purchase.

“This fall marks a bold new chapter for Six Flags Fiesta Texas,” Robert Bustle, park manager of Six Flags Fiesta Texas said. “Fright Fest brings elevated scares, iconic stories and immersive environments that transform the park at night. By day, Tricks and Treats delivers a fresh take on family Halloween fun and Oktoberfest returns with the food, music and tradition our guests love. It’s our most well-rounded and dynamic seasonal lineup to date.”

The three seasonal events will be available under one admission ticket.
