Six killed in two-car Johnson County crash, police say

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says two vehicles were involved. Three additional victims were injured in the crash and airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas — Johnson County deputies said at least six people were killed, and three more seriously injured, in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there have been at least six fatalities in the crash that happened near US-67 and County Road 1119. Three other victims were airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital.

No names of the victims will be released until families have been notified, police said. 

US-67 between County Road 1234 and County Road 1120 was closed Tuesday evening, police said. It is not yet certain when the road will reopen.
