It’s the third small plane to crash in Pearland in the last three months.
In February, a plane owned by Flying Tigers Flight School went down on Dixie Farm Road after taking off from Ellington Airport. It ended up upside down.
In mid-December, a 1973 Grumman that took off from Galveston was over Pearland when the electrical system malfunctioned. They made an emergency landing at Pearland Regional Airport, where things went from bad to worse. The cockpit video showed it crashing into another plane on the runway. A passenger suffered minor injuries.
