South Texas Blood & Tissue, UTSA team up for 210 Day blood drive

UTSA and South Texas Blood & Tissue partner up for the second annual 210 Day Blood Drive, aiming to collect at least 210 blood donations in honor of UTSA 210 Day.

SAN ANTONIO — South Texas Blood & Tissue is partnering with the University of Texas at San Antonio for the second annual 210 Day Blood Drive on the UTSA campus.

The drive is tied to UTSA 210 Day, which was officially recognized in 2023 when the City of San Antonio and the Bexar County Commissioners Court proclaimed Feb. 10 as UTSA 210 Day.

The phrase “Let’s Go 210,” pronounced “two-one-oh,” has since become a rallying cry for Roadrunners and a symbol of the university’s connection to the city.

The two organizations are turning that connection into a lifesaving effort by hosting an on-campus blood drive. The goal is to collect at least 210 blood donations in honor of 210 Day.

All donors who participate will receive a limited-edition “I’m a Rowdy 210 Blood Donor” T-shirt.

The UTSA 210 Day Blood Drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Business Building’s University Room, located at 1 UTSA Circle on the UTSA campus.
