CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Due to unforeseen circumstances related to the EHV-1 virus outbreak, the STTR has canceled the 2025 Christmas Weekend Ride scheduled for December 12-14 in Karnes City.
In a Facebook post, South Texas Trail Riders (STTR) said no horses will be allowed to participate in this year’s parade.
Despite the cancellation, STTR members will still take part in the parade using a decorated truck, trailer, and wagon adorned with Christmas lights, and they encourage the community to spread the word about the event changes.
