Southwest ISD school bus slides into ditch due to wet roads, district says

SAN ANTONIO — A Southwest Independent School District bus ended up in a ditch Monday morning due to wet roads, the district says.

It happened around 8:20 a.m. on Loop 1604 and Old Pearsall Road, on the southwest side of town.

The school bus was carrying nine students when it slid off the road and into a ditch. The district says that nobody was injured.

The students were transferred to another bus and checked out by a nurse as soon as they arrived at Southwest High School, the district confirmed.

This is a developing story.
