San Antonio firefighters believe a space heater is to blame for a fire that broke out at an east-side home on Friday morning.
SAN ANTONIO — Flames broke out behind a home east of downtown late Friday morning, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Officials said firefighters were called around 10:30 a.m. to the 1800 block of South Olive Street, where a shed and a tree in the rear of a residence were found burning. The incident remained active as crews worked to contain the fire.
Early indications suggest the blaze may have been caused by a space heater that was left on inside the shed, fire officials said. The extent of the damage was not immediately available.
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
