Spectrum reporting outage affecting customers in Texas

​In a post to Spectrum’s official account on Twitter/X, the company said it is working on the issues.

TEXAS, USA — Spectrum is reporting an outage affecting Texas customers Tuesday afternoon.

In a post to Spectrum’s official account on Twitter/X, the company said it is working on the issues.

“We are aware of an outage affecting customers in the Texas area.  We apologize for inconvenience and are working to resolve as quickly as possible. Thank you,” the post read.

Additionally, CPS Energy in San Antonio said on Twitter/X it was also aware of a “state-wide internet service interrruption that was affecting wait times for customers calling phone lines.

“We’re aware of the statewide internet service interruption, which includes our service area. Please know this may result in long wait times for customers calling our phone lines.  We thank customers for their patience as internet providers work to resolve the issue,” the company’s post read.

Additionally, Downdetector.com, the website that tracks service outages nationwide, shows a spike in reports of outages for Verizon customers in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Dallas around 1 p.m. It also shows a spike in reports of outages for AT&T customers in the same cities around the same time.
