
The San Antonio Spurs secured a 119-115 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, led by Devin Vassell’s 22 points.
SAN ANTONIO — At home, the San Antonio Spurs beat the New Orleans Pelicans 119-115. San Antonio outscored the Pelicans 32-27 to seal the win.
Keldon Johnson scored 19 points, and Chris Paul had four points and six assists. Devin Vassell added 22 points and five rebounds. Stephon Castle finished with 17, and Harrison Barnes recorded 19. Jeremy Sochan added 14 points and five rebounds.
The Spurs are 28-38 this season and will take on the Lakers on Monday night in Los Angeles.

“When those guys are hard effort and some of the not-so-glamorous things, it’s nice when they get rewarded with making a few shots.”
“I think we held him to 20-something in the third quarter. So I’ll just say, just keep getting stops. It makes life a lot easier when working at stops, and then we’re able to play in transition. Able to play in transition, play fast. We got to hang our heads on the defensive end. That’s what coach has been talking about.”
Keldon Johnson:
“We were getting stops on defense. We were sharing the ball. Just playing basketball the Spurs way. I feel like we were having fun playing for each other. And ultimately, when you do those type of things, great things tend to happen.”
