Here’s a sample of what the Spurs and Suns said after the game.
Mitch Johnson:
“I did think we did a good job of being sharp. I thought the first quarter we missed a few shots. I thought there’s a few plays that felt like our process was probably better than a five point lead. And that happens in this in this league, and when so much talent involved in when there is enough uncontrollables out there that you just have to stick to the process and the plan, I know and over time, just trust it. And I think we did a good job of that.”
“Killer Instinct, yeah. When coming into the rest of the season, I think it’s about us. Obviously, playing good or bad, you want to win the game. But I think right now, it’s about how we’re playing, win or lose, because we’re trying to build towards something. So right now, we’re trying to continue to build towards being ready when we need to be, and that’s in April.”
Wembanyama:
“That was good. I guess that was the best part. I was excited before the game, and we had so much fun. So it really felt like where we belong. You know, we had much fun as a team, and I think we passed the ball a lot.”
“I think we have a lot of dynamic guys that can play all over the court, play on and off the ball. So, it makes a lot of our a lot of our actions interchangeable.”
“Guys are healthy. I think we’re dying to get back around each other, too. So I think that was just the kind of tone that we set to start the game and to start the second half. I feel like that. That’s where it showed.”
