Here’s a sample of what the Spurs and Hawks said after the game.
Mitch Johnson:
“I thought the energy and what we were putting our energy into was very, very appropriate, and you felt that throughout the game. We talked since October. We have a lot of firsts because we haven’t been together. So I think we’ve talked about the potential because this was back at camp, of dealing with diversity and dealing with success. And so we’re just trying to attack days, and there’s a little bit of all of it.”
“Just stay consistent. Stay in the gym, even when we have off days, stay in the gym and just be confident,” he said to FanDuel. “This game is all about confidence, and every single time I got to shoot the ball, I got to know what’s going in.”
