Here’s a sample of what the Spurs and Nets said after the game.
Mitch Johnson:
“We’ve had to find a lot of different ways to win. It’s part of a team that’s growing and continuing to learn about each other, and doesn’t have the identity where there’s one or two or even three players that are going to take the majority of the shots every single night. There is a lot of team participation on both ends of the court, and what we demand. I think we’re just continuing to try to be more consistent. We’re also learning on the fly a little bit.”
Champagnie:
“That’s kind of what we take pride in, is that everybody on any night can score, be the best player, and that’s just what it is. But we do our best to find them. Best to find them and get them shots. I feel like that’s been shown throughout the whole year.”
“I think that we’re just doing the right things. Putting our energy into the right places as a team. No egos. No personal agenda. It’s just good hoops. Spurs basketball.”
Wembanyama:
“Feels good. Feels like an accomplishment (going undefeated in February). I guess looking back, it’s a we could say it’s a satisfying month. I think we had only one win, which was a single digit. So it doesn’t mean it was perfect, not at all, but looking back, it’s never gonna be perfect. So it’s pretty exciting.”
