Here’s a sample of what the Spurs and Mavericks said after the game.

Mitch Johnson:

“We did a little bit better game plan execution, with our resistance and physicality without fouling throughout the possession. We had some possessions where I thought we had good multiple efforts, but our initial game plan execution or physicality wasn’t there, so they (Dallas) already had a little bit of momentum, or we had the right physicality earlier. I thought we did a really good job, especially at the end of shoring it up a little bit more than we were throughout the game.”

“I thought we did a good job of just sharing some stuff together. I think kind of just alternating baskets was a theme there in the second half, and trying to just bear down and take some stops on the floor consecutively. That kind of allowed us to extend our lead.”

Wembanyama:

“We had a moment that wasn’t as good as the rest of the game, but we stayed pretty solid on defense. Everything could have been better. We went back to what we know offensively, because at some point, we’re just doing whatever.”

Coach Jason Kidd, Naji Marshall, and Cooper Flagg:
